She explains that studies into the subject are so far inconclusive. Whilst research has indicated that oral probiotics found in foods such as yoghurts may help improve symptoms of inflammatory skin conditions such as acne and rosacea, more research is needed including research into probiotic toiletries.

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that makes your face turn red and may cause swelling and skin sores that look like acne. It typically occurs in people with fair skin between the ages of 30 and 50 and is more common in women than men.
