Plastic Surgery
Many plastic surgery procedures are suitable for men as well as women. Surgery for men accounts for specific anatomical and symptomatic differences which typically apply to male patients.
Our specialist consultant plastic surgeons assess and treat conditions that affect men's physical function, health and wellbeing. Every surgical treatment at Cadogan Clinic starts with a consultation with a consultant surgeon, who will assess your symptoms and medical history and discuss the options available to you.
Male Abdominoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightens the underlying muscles. It is most often considered after significant weight loss, where loose skin causes skin irritation, infection, discomfort or restricted movement. It can also repair separated abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) or be combined with Hernia Repair.
Male Blepharoplasty is eyelid surgery that removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower lids. It is recommended where drooping eyelid skin restricts vision or causes heavy, irritated or tired eyes.
A Male Facelift tightens and repositions the deeper tissues of the face and neck. It may be considered to address facial tissue laxity following significant weight loss, facial injury or previous surgery, or weakness caused by facial nerve damage. Your surgeon will discuss whether it is suitable for you.
A Hair Transplant moves healthy hair follicles from one part of the scalp to areas affected by hair loss. Your surgeon will first establish the cause of your hair loss, including any underlying medical conditions. Transplantation is most appropriate where hair loss results from scarring, burns, injury or previous surgery, or where it is having a significant effect on your wellbeing.
Male Liposuction removes localised fat deposits through small incisions. It may be recommended to treat lipomas (benign fatty lumps) or fat deposits that cause discomfort or restrict movement.
Gynaecomastia is the enlargement of breast tissue in men. It can cause pain, tenderness and significant psychological distress. Your consultant will first investigate possible underlying causes, such as hormonal imbalance, medication or other health conditions. Gynaecomastia Surgery (Male Breast Reduction) removes the excess glandular tissue and fat, and skin where needed, to flatten and reshape the chest.
Male Otoplasty corrects prominent or misshapen ears, whether present from birth or caused by injury. It is performed where the shape of the ears is causing significant distress or affecting day-to-day confidence and wellbeing.
Male Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose and can also improve nasal function. It is commonly recommended to correct breathing difficulty caused by a deviated septum, injury or structural problems, and your surgeon will assess both your airway and the shape of your nose.
Abdominal Etching is a body-contouring technique that uses Liposuction to define the contours of the abdominal muscles. It is suitable only for patients who are already close to a healthy weight, and your surgeon will discuss with you what it can and cannot achieve, as well as the risks.
Andrology is the medical speciality that diagnoses and treats conditions of the male reproductive and hormonal systems. These include erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, male fertility concerns, Peyronie's disease and testicular or penile conditions. Treatment is tailored to the underlying cause and may include medication, therapy or surgery.
Pectoral Implants are silicone implants placed beneath the chest muscle to add volume to the chest. They may be considered to correct chest wall differences, such as Poland syndrome or chest asymmetry, or following injury or surgery. Your surgeon will discuss the benefits, limitations and risks in detail.
Male BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) uses your own fat, taken by Liposuction, to add volume and shape to the buttocks. Your surgeon will assess your suitability, including whether you have enough donor fat, and will discuss the risks of the procedure with you, which are significant and will be explained fully at consultation.
For all surgical procedures, our consultant surgeons will discuss your symptoms, medical history and health concerns during a one-to-one consultation at our CQC-registered hospital in Chelsea, London. They will assess your condition and discuss the potential benefits, limitations and risks before recommending whether treatment is clinically appropriate.
