Timeline of Recovery and Results

Recovery from Rhinoplasty usually takes 6-8 weeks. Rhinoplasty recovery usually looks the same for men and women. You can expect your recovery timeline to follow this pattern: 

• After your Rhinoplasty, you will have to wear a cast to support and protect your nose. This will be removed after a week. 
• Immediately after your Rhinoplasty, you can expect swelling and bruising around the nose, under the eyes and around the upper lip. This should resolve within the first two weeks after your surgery. Following an Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty, the swelling and bruising are usually slightly less due to the very precise incisions made within the nose. 
• It is very normal for your nose to feel slightly congested for the first few weeks. Sleeping propped up will help to alleviate this. 
• During your initial recovery, you will have to avoid any strenuous activity. 
• After 6 weeks, you will have a follow up appointment with your surgeon, so they are able to examine your results and discuss your recovery. 
• In the first 3-6 months, your nose may look slightly undefined. As your nose fully heals, the final results will become clear, and your nose will look sharper.

 
Non-surgical Rhinoplasty is an alternative to surgical Rhinoplasty. Many patients opt for a Non-surgical Rhinoplasty to get an idea of the aesthetic results they may achieve from a full Nose Job. Results are immediate, although there may be some swelling or bruising which can take a few days to subside.

However, Non-surgical Rhinoplasty is not able to address functional nasal concerns and the results are not permanent, meaning maintenance appointments are required every 6-12 months.
