Dr. Susan Mayou is a Consultant Dermatologist specialising in mole monitoring, skin cancer, acne and eczema, with a special interest in paediatric and cosmetic dermatology.

Graduating from St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School London in 1977, Dr Mayou has over 30 years of unrivalled expertise in dermatology. Throughout her career, Dr Mayou has been the recipient of numerous awards, featured regularly within the media, provided counsel to numerous groups and organisations and lectured at universities.

Highly-regarded within her profession Dr Mayou is a co-founder and secretary of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group, an Honorary Lecturer at Imperial College London, Spokesperson for and a Trustee of the British Skin Foundation and the Dermatological Advisor to the Advertising Standards Agency. As one of the UK’s leading dermatologists, Dr Mayou actively imparts her wisdom and shares her passion for dermatology. Her inspiring work and dedication has helped shape and progress the UK dermatology industry.

Practicing at the top of her profession, Dr Mayou has consulted in private and NHS clinics with posts including running the Paediatric Dermatology clinic at the Chelsea and Westminster and the paediatric and adult clinic at Queen Mary’s Roehampton.

Dr Mayou has a particular interest in skin cancer screening and mole mapping and is a leading authority in this field. She introduced The Mole Check facility to the Cadogan Clinic in response to the alarming rise in skin cancer diagnosis in the UK. It remains the only service in the UK to give result and advice within 24 hours and is also the only Mole Check to be approved by the British Skin Foundation.
