The Cadogan Clinic is committed to collecting and publishing accurate and timely information about the care we provide. 

We publish this data so that you can make informed decisions about your healthcare and so that we can make immediate decisions when required

Patient Feedback 

We develop and improve our services in conjunction with feedback from you, our patients from our team and from our local GP network, to help us deliver that you need

Every surgical patient is given a paper survey to complete : 100% of surgical patients who responded to our said they would recommend us to their Friends and Family in 2023.

Every outpatient appointment is sent a digital survey to complete: 95% of outpatients who completed surveys rated us 5* in 2023. 

 

Formal Complaints 

We received 16 formal complaints in 2023  (0.05% of patient appointments in 2023) 

We recorded 112 negative feedback in 2023 (0.4% of patient appointments in 2023)

All issues were resolved within ISCAS timeframes

 

Patient Satisfaction (Patient Reported Outcome Measures (Q-PROMS)

  • Q-PROMS are an externally developed and validated method to capture a patient's satisfaction on the results of their surgery
  • We ask patients to fill in a quantitative survey before their operation, and another after their operation. 
  • The difference between the two scores is their health improvement score
  • Different QPROMs questionnaires are designed for different cosmetic procedures, as each surgery is aimed at addressing different concerns 

Infections

  • We had 3 infections following a surgical procedure at the Clinic in 2023 (0.2% of procedures)
  • The national HCAI average is 4.7% (British Medical Journal)

 

Delays

  • On average our full operating theatres days ended 22 minutes after their scheduled endpoints in 2023 leading to minimal patient delays 

 

Surgical Revisions

  • Our overall surgical revision rate was 2.4% in 2023
  • Revisions rates are commonly reported at ~10%  (American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, 2022) with variation between procedures

 

Surgical Returns to Theatre

  • 13 cases required unplanned returns to theatre in 2023 (0.9% of procedures)
  • There is limited comparative data on unplanned Returns to Theatre in cosmetic surgery 

Incidents 

  • We recorded 0 ‘never events’ in 2023
  • We recorded 0 incidents requiring reporting to the CQC in 2023
  • We recorded 0 incidents requiring reporting to a statutory body other than the CQC (GMC, police, courts) in 2023
  • We had 31 incidents/accidents involving staff and patients in 2023 (0.1% of patient appointments)
