Miss Hawkes is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic surgeon with a special interest in cosmetic eyelid surgery. She also practices advanced facial aesthetics for non-surgical facial and eye rejuvenation.
Miss Hawkes graduated from Imperial College, London and completed further training at Harvard Medical School, Boston and St Mary's Hospital, London, before embarking on a career in Ophthalmic Surgery. She completed her specialist training on the prestigious Oxford rotation and spent time at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Miss Hawkes has delivered several national and international presentations and is involved with surgical training and educating future eye surgeons. She has also been appointed as an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and serves on the Clinical Advisory Board for Aesthetics Journal.
Outside of her private practice, Miss Hawkes has held a substantive NHS ophthalmology consultant post where she was Clinical Lead of the Emergency Eye Care Service at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Miss Hawkes is delighted to be taking over the care of Professor Richard Collin’s patients. Professor Collin was a pioneer of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery and was Miss Hawkes’ mentor prior to this prestigious appointment. Combining her passion for precise, delicate surgery and meticulous attention to detail, Ophthalmology and Cosmetic Surgery was an obvious career choice. Miss Hawkes' patients regularly comment on her professional yet friendly approach.
Miss Hawkes enjoys skiing, running and socialising with her friends. She is deeply inspired by her medical family - her mother is also a Consultant Ophthalmologist, and her father is a Professor of Neurology.
