Mesotherapy is an injection treatment that delivers nourishing substances to the layers of the skin where cell repair and growth occurs.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an anti-aging treatment that uses your own growth factors to rejuvenate the skin from the inside out, and because the platelet-rich plasma is derived from your own body, it poses no danger of allergy, hypersensitivity or foreign-body reactions, making it a completely non-toxic and hypoallergenic non-surgical facelift.
At Cadogan Clinic, we use Mesotherapy to deliver Platelet-Rich Plasma.
In order to do this procedure, a small volume of blood (5-15 ml) will be withdrawn in the same way blood is taken for blood tests. This is then spun in a centrifuge to seperate the red blood cells from the platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The platelet-rich plasma is then injected back into your troublesome areas to help soften, smooth and tighten your skin.
These platelets in our blood are the little soldiers responsible for producing growth factors, which detect any tissue damage to our skin and work on repairing them. They have an ability to stimulate cell growth and regenerate tissue which, when used in PRP, can also excourage the production of collagen and elastin in your skin.
Improvements on skin texture and tone can be noticeable within a couple of weeks following the first session, and the face looks younger and radiant.
A total of 3 sessions is recommended 6 weeks apart, and it is recommended to repeat this treatment twice a year.
