In a feature in Aesthetics Journal exploring the recent BAAPS report about the decline in cosmetic surgery, Cadogan Clinic Founder Mr Bryan Mayou and Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgeon Mr Naveen Cavale joined the conversion.
Esteemed industry publication Aesthetics Journal analysed the annual BAAPS figures, which highlighted an 8% industry decline in cosmetic surgery procedures throughout 2017.
Mr Cavale believes the figures reflect a ‘sign of a healthier and more educated market’ with people taking less profound actions.
In the BAAPS report, non-surgical treatments were cited as a contributing factor to the decline in surgical treatment, speared on by social media. Mr Mayou commented, “A big driver for non-surgical treatments is social media, and this has led to more people seeking these particular types of treatments”
The Cadogan Clinic, bucked the downward trend and experienced a 6% rise in surgical procedures throughout 2017 as well as an increase in non-surgical treatments. The continued growth is attributed as much to the expertise of the industry-leading consultants as it is to the pioneering and innovative approach to procedures and patient care. We are extremely proud to offer an integrated medical service with an industry-leading team.
