iPixel laser skin resurfacing uses laser energy to penetrate the skin and create 'micro-injuries' without damaging the surrounding healthy skin.
This encourages the skin cell's own collagen production - a regenerating process which improves the tone and texture of skin over time. iPixel resurfacing is highly effective and FDA-approved so completely safe in the hands of our experienced aesthetics specialists. The iPixel resurfacing system has been designed for individuals who want to combat the appearance of sun damage, pigmentation, wrinkles and acne-scarring on the face, hands and neck.
iPixel is a fractional laser which uses thermal heat so healing time is fairly quick. Following treatment, some individuals experience a sunburn-like sensation but the cooling device used throughout treatment ensures that the process is as comfortable as possible.
It is completely normal to experience redness in the areas treated for a few days following your session, and skin may be dry for around a week. Your practitioner will advise you on how to care for the treated area and how to keep it well-hydrated.
After your first treatment session, you will notice initial results after around 7 days. Once the skin has begun to heal, the skin will continuously improve over the following 6 weeks. The number of treatments recommended is based specifically on your individual needs and your practitioner will give you a clear idea of how many sessions you will require to achieve optimum results – usually, a course of 4-6 treatments repeated every 4-6 weeks is considered appropriate. Patients are recommended to book back in for touch-up treatments every 6-12 months to maintain results.
We have invited a selection of the country's very best practitioners to join us at the Cadogan Clinic so that you can be sure that whatever the nature of your treatment, you will be seeing one of the top practitioners in the country.

What is the difference between IPL and laser skin resurfacing?
IPL Skin Rejuvenation and Laser Skin Resurfacing are very different treatments.
An IPL Skin Rejuvenation treatment consists of a series of high-intensity pulses of broad spectrum light that pass through several layers of skin at once, targeting only the unwanted cells. IPL can thus improve the texture, quality, colour and health of your skin and treat multiple conditions simultaneously, such as the appearance of veins, capillaries, redness, age spots, blotchiness and freckles.
By contrast, Laser Skin Resurfacing delivers a direct beam of thermal energy to one specific target. Laser Skin Resurfacing uses a laser beam focused on one specific wavelength and targets the very outer layers of the skin, which are removed, encouraging new skin to replace them. This process restores the smooth, even and fresh appearance that the skin tends to lose with age.
We offer two main Laser Skin Resurfacing treatments: ClearLift & Pixel Perfect, each having its own specific benefits and advantages.
