Excess Skin

Excess skin can be caused after major weight loss. The skin is very elastic and the degree varies dramatically from person to person. As we age, the elasticity in our skin naturally depletes and the degree in which this happens can be influenced by lifestyle habits such as diet, exercise and sun exposure. The excessive stretching of the skin caused by weight gain can mean that the skin doesn’t rebound to its original position.

Whilst confidence after weight loss can be massively improved, the excess skin can hinder this. There are many treatment options to help reduce and eliminate excess skin and restore body confidence and self-esteem.
