Silhouette Threads (Face Lift / Neck Lift)

Reclaim your cheeks with the new generation facial sutures - Silhouette Thread Lift – the safe, less invasive way to turn back the clock. The Silhouette face lift is ideal for patients with:

  • Sagging eyebrows.
  • Asymmetric brows.
  • Sagging cheeks and jowls.
  • Drooping skin on the mid and lower face.
  • Wrinkles due to premature skin aging.

Great for both men and women who are experiencing early jowls and mid-face drooping, Silhouette Lift is a new face lift technique that can be performed under local anaesthetic in around an hour 45 minutes  with approximately 5 days downtime. The actual length of time depends on the total number of Silhouette Threads to be used. Contact the Cadogan Clinic on 020 7901 8500 or via this online form for more information on this new face lift procedure.

Advantages and Benefits of a Silhouette Thread Lift

  • Facial tiredness is erased, giving you a younger and very natural appearance for many years to come.
  • Silhouette Lift is performed in one session only under local anaesthetic.
  • It has no side effects and the results have proved systematically reliable.
  • Silhouette Lift is an efficient technique for both men and women.

Performed in one session under local anaesthetic, you can resume normal activities within 2 days, but might choose to take a week off work as there will be some bruising and swelling. The procedure itself takes less than 45 minutes for the face and less than 25 minutes for the neck.

"After the procedure you will experience some swelling and perhaps bruising. The procedure isn't actually painful as I always anaesthetise the lips with a 'dental block'. PermaLip™ is made of soft, solid silicone. Therefore, it cannot rupture or leak." says Angelica Kavouni, Consultant Aesthetic Surgeon at the Cadogan Clinic.

The Results of a Silhouette Thread Lift

After the local anaesthetic has been applied, small incisions are made in the temporal region (side of the forehead) and hidden in the hairline through which the threads are then gently passed. These sutures are made from polypropylene, a biocompatible material with the human body, which has been used for many years in cardiovascular and ophthalmic surgery.

The Silhouette Life sutures are the most innovative sutures to date. They are not barbed which avoids any tissue damage and thanks to small re-absorbable cones which anchor themselves in deep tissue, a tension is produced which lifts the sagging tissue. Over time tissue forms around the cones, the latter then dissolve leaving the skin and new tissue anchored in place. With no side effects, the new Silhouette Lift sutures avoid problems of movement, breakage and pain which occur with barbed sutures.

The Silhouette Thread Lift procedure is ideal for correcting nasolabial folds, expression lines as well as the oval of the face, cheeks and neck. You can look naturally younger and fresher without the trauma of a face lift for around 5 years.

What Patients Say After a Silhouette Face Lift

My advice would be not hesitate any longer. Thanks to Silhouette Lift, people now look at me differently. I feel I’m perceived as younger but still very much myself and only I know the reason why.
