Sculptra is an injectable treatment that semi-permanently replaces lost collagen to rejuvenate the skin's surface appearance
Sculptra is a facial injectable that works to achieve a subtle, more youthful looking appearance in a series of three treatments over as many months. Results are achieved by replacing lost collagen deep in the dermis where the skin’s structure finds its foundation.
Collagen structures provide a foundation for the skin that can be gradually restored by injection to achieve the look of fullness that lines, wrinkles and folds have depleted over time. Whilst individual results vary, on average, three sessions are required to allow noticeable results to emerge. These results will typically last for a period of two years.
Whatever your personal requirements, Sculptra at the Cadogan Clinic can provide the leading experts and techniques at its state-of-the-art, purpose-built, central London facility.

As Sculptra targets the underlying causes of the signs of ageing, the results can emerge subtly and last more than two years. In the first few weeks you will see some visible results but as the production of new collagen is a gradual process, optimum results will be seen following several treatment sessions.
Following a Sculptra treatment it is completely normal to have some redness and swelling in the area treated so if you have an event planned it may be best to bear this in mind. Within the first 24 hours you may want to help reduce swelling by using a cloth wrapped ice pack on the area for a few minutes at a time. Your practitioner will advise you to massage the treated area for five minutes five times a day for five days and avoid excess sunlight/UV exposure until any redness subsides. He or she will provide you with Sculptra aftercare instructions during your consultation.
The effects of Sculptra can last for up to two years compared to most other injectables which last for a few months.
As with any injectable treatment, some discomfort may be felt depending on your pain threshold. Your consultant will give you advice on what you may experience during a Sculptra treatment during your consultation and it is possible to use a numbing cream on the area first to minimise any discomfort.
Sculptra is a safe treatment, FDA approved in the United States and has been used worldwide since 1999. Sculptra is made of a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid that is absorbed naturally by the body and has been used for years in dissolvable stitches. It should not be used by those allergic to any of the ingredients, those with a history of keloid scarring or when there is an active skin infection.
Sculptra is a facial injectable treatment targets the underlying causes of ageing and works gradually over a series of treatments. An average of 3 injection sessions with an interval of 4 to 6 weeks between each session stimulate your skin’s collagen growth to give a more rejuvenated and youthful-looking appearance. Over time, results will become more and more visible and can last more than two years.
