Dermatologist Dr. Susan Mayou examines my face and tells me disfigurement is not really a concern and that this treatment will last between two and five years. She then brings out something that looks like a wired-up biro (or hyphrecator) that will 'fry' those pesky veins , and starts zapping . I catch a faint smell of burning. The pain is minimal and it lasts for five minutes .
The next day ,the area is flaky ,with a tiny bit of scabbing. A few days later and it is considerably less red and veiny. In the overloaded world of cosmetic treatments,it's about doing your research and separating the weird from the wonderful. And this, readers, is wonderful.
