The eyelids are delicate structures which protect the eyes and if there is a malposition or malfunction, the patient can experience dry or watering eyes and eye exposure, which may lead to reduced vision.

In this short talk Ms Olver will discuss the common conditions that affect eyelids and their function, and that of the tear drainage which is also important for clear healthy vision.

Many patients experience dry or sore or watering eyes as they get older and will consult their GP. At the end of this talk the GP will be familiar with the differential diagnosis and management of the most common eyelid and tear conditions.
