An innovation in fat grafting

We have been grafting fat for 25 years but recently it has entered a new era for two reasons. 

• Firstly, the techniques have been refined so that fat survival in the face is now excellent and of the order of 75% and in the rest of the body, 50%. 
• It has also been shown that fat is the main source of stem cells in the body.  Stem cells are cells, which have the potential to develop into all other types of tissue in the body and graft very effectively.

Liposuction is one of the most common aesthetic procedures performed around the world. There are, however, alternatives that provide advantages that traditional liposuction does not. One of the most exciting developments in fat removal is the introduction of SmartLipo MPX. Advantages of SmartLipo MPX include less down time and fewer side effects than tradition liposuction.

Cutting down the risks with BodyJet Liposuction

BodyJet liposuction is an intriguing new breakthrough procedure developed in Germany by Dr. Harmut Meyer. The local anaesthesia, adrenaline and saline solution is pumped ahead of the cannulae, loosening the fat and providing the anaesthesia at the same time. In many situations this makes the procedure more effective and less traumatic for the patient and can often be carried out under local anaesthesia.

Delivering same-day results of skin cancer screening

The Cadogan Clinic has its own on site histopathology laboratory – this introduces the revolutionary concept of an all in one skin cancer screening: a client visits the clinic with a suspicious skin lesion, undergoes a biopsy or excision, receives the pathology result and appropriate advice - all in the same day. The Cadogan Clinic offers a range of skin cancer prevention programs including mole mapping, a technique whereby your moles are catalogued or ‘mapped’.
