Mr Raman Malhotra FRCOphth MB ChB

Introduction
Raman Malhotra is an award-winning ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon whose work has received international recognition. He plays a leading role in academia, sharing his expertise and helping to train the next generation of ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeons.
He runs courses, gives lectures and speaks at medical institutions and conferences worldwide on topics ranging from facial nerve palsy to eyelid lifts and tear trough fillers. He has written textbooks and numerous medical papers that have been published in leading journals. He also runs a successful fellowship programme.
In 2007, Mr Malhotra received the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award and in September 2011 he was awarded a Bronze National Clinical Excellence Award by the Department of Health.
Mr Malhotra is recognised by all major medical insurance schemes.

Training and experience
Mr Malhotra graduated in medicine and surgery from the University of Bristol, completed his basic ophthalmic surgical training at the Western Eye Hospital in London and went on to higher surgical training in Oxford.
He became a Fellow in oculoplastic, orbital and lacrimal surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Women and Children's Hospital in Adelaide, Australia, in 2002. In 2003, he returned to the UK and was appointed consultant ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.
He is a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and member of The British Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, British Oculoplastic Surgeons Society and European Society of Ophthalmic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
